Welcome to the ChAotiX-DesineZ GrapHiX page

03.18.2001
Welcome one and all to the ChAotiX-DesineZ GrapHiX page. This is -THE- page you are all probably here to see. Below you will find a link to navigate the images in the directory structure, which is indeed quite bland. Those respective pages will incorporate a "Back" button that will take you to where you were.

Also below you will find a step by step analysis so-to-speak of each image, its history and creation stories. Some of these may very well turn out to be quite interesting indeed. Please do check them out. Of course if you use the links associated with each picture, please use the "Back" button provided by your browser to come back to this page.

*** NOTE ***
Each image, generally speaking, was created at 640x480 resolution, other images may be smaller than that, though proportionate to that scale.

The intent of these images are as desktop wallpapers, which can be achieved by right clicking the image, and selecting "Set as Wallpaper." If using a resolution other than 640x480, which almost all of you are, please adjust your display settings to "Stretch to Fit" the image. Thanks and Good Lookin' Out.

About our artwork...

For all of you, "I gotta' quick connection and just wanna' see the blasted pictures..." type people, here is the link you've requested:

Just lemme' see the pictures

For the rest of you that appreciate good reasoning and history along with your artwork, please read below to acquire a distinct mind-frame the artist was in at the conception of each piece... and perhaps even an explanation as to why each piece was created. Each piece was created using Adobe Photoshop 5.02 with various filters, in fact, each is just numerous filters used in a variety of manners. Many images will appear the same in a way, but quite different in others, please open your mind and let your eyes be free... because chances are you've experienced nothing like this before.

Now this image, in its seeming simplicity, was actually quite the pain in the ass. Each image is taken from a different Bob Marley poster and manipulated. I was actually looking for an overall different look, and the colored in areas were just an afterthought gone horribly wrong. But it was a try at a tribute to a music legend and pot-head god.

ChAotic-BoilZ was an interesting image created over 3 years ago. This was during my infancy in learning any type of photoshop at all, and had only the default and Eye Candy filters of which to use. The image itself was a compilation of ideas from my own sister and my friend "J" as we were all high as kites. It looked real cool then, and seems only just plain and simple now, but overall a pleasing piece to the eye.

Devil_Amongst_Us.jpg

This image was created on a Sunday morning, with a rather rough hangover. The image itself was indeed a mistake that happened to pan out rather well. Of course the image was created with quite a bit of hostile, Captain Morgan on my shoulder type of energy, and when the form of a "face" entered the foreground of the image, it was only instinctual to smear on some horns. The colors were meant to be semi-appealing to the eyes and senses all around, only to be contrasted with a depiction of something a little more sinister. All in all it adds character to the work.

Now here is another interesting piece. This was the foreground for the rest of the DrunkenStuper series. Of course the name is my condition, and the poison of choice was undoubtedly Smirnoff, with a very heavy Bud Ice impression. What I was looking for was a picture that had the resemblance of what was seen when looking through a Bud Ice bottle. Whether or not is was achieved, to this day I am not sure. I also wanted a central focal point to draw the eye, as well as some rather plain contrasting colors to appeal to the eye and blend with the texture.

These 2 pieces rather interesting by-products of DrunkenStuper1. I'm not even quite sure how these pieces came to be to be honest, I just know they sprouted from the first DrunkenStuper and morphs themselves into quite the different creature indeed.

PrettyWallpaper1.jpg

This image was created with wallpaper only in mind. I wanted to create an image that was not only catching to the eye but also subtle enough to be viewed daily. This image has only a central color, and a simple theme of lines, with a feminine overtone in color. The lines of course work towards the center, but there is quite a bit of movement throughout all parts of the image.

Again, another image with a wallpaper scheme in mind. This time, using the same theme of lines and subtle movement, I turned the perspective to a bit more masculine in overtone. Though quite similar to PrettyWallpaper1, it is a completely different beast, and should be appreciated much differently.

Talk about something different! Here's an image I still, to this day, do not understand. I was just doing a small demo of Photoshop for a friend and picked some of the dullest, and ugliest colors. I tried to mesh 'em, I tried to mold 'em, but nothing was working. Then something hit me, I used 1 filter, and BLAMO! depth. It appears in this image as if it begins to droop towards you. (especially under the influence)This image was classified as a PrettyWallpaper for some ungodly reason, but here it is.

Here is another one of those "made a mistake and it all just came together" images. I was high as a kite, sitting at Vo-Tech, bored outta' my skull, and I started playing with Photoshop. I was looking for a texture that looked like you could touch it, something that showed depth but appealed to you as well. I found this in a unique glass combination and then Polar Coordinates took over. The dark colors in the middle contrast nicely with the outlaying region. This was my first respectable piece. This image is what its name says it is... RETARDED. The colors aren't matched well together and it was an overall basic fuck-up. Despite this screw-up, it does have an interesting texture, and a certain type of wierd appeal. All in all still worth a mouse click.

Talk about retarded. This is the most simplistic and weak image I've probably ever created. Despite my opinion of it, girls generally enjoy it for its subtle nature and light color overtone. All in all, if you are looking for a happening image, some action, you'll probably be disappointed with this one.

The StupidTrippin' Series

12.26.2000
Well, here's a nice story... these images were created up until the point we started trippin' face. The image itself started just whack as hell, then as the psychadelic effects started to kick in, it started getting a little more interesting. Each image has the same 2 blatant hidden messages in it, and the common eye should see them right away. Of course each is more/less obvious in each respective picture.
